月牙泉Crescent lake
沙漠第一泉，月牙泉是敦煌诸多自然景观中的佼佼者，以“沙漠奇观”著称于世，被誉为“塞外风光之一绝”。有“沙漠第一泉”之称，自汉朝起即为“敦煌八景”之一。

莫高窟，俗称千佛洞，它，历经十六国、北朝、隋、唐、西夏、元等历代的兴建，是世界上现存规模较大、内容较丰富的佛教艺术地。隋唐时期，随着丝绸之路的繁荣，莫高窟更是兴盛。莫高窟内壁画皆为泥胚画。Mogao Grottoes,commonly known as thousand Buddha cave, has been built in 16 dynasties, Northern dynasty, Sui,Tang, Xixia and Yuan Dynasty. It is a large-scale and rich Buddhist art site in the world. During the Sui and Tang Dynasty, with the prosperity of the Silk Road, Mogao Grottoes got more prosperous. The murals in Mogao Grottoes are all clay embryo paintings.

璀璨明珠-敦煌 Bright pearl-Dunhuang

嘉峪关 Jiayuguan fort
古时出了嘉峪关就是茫茫戈壁，告别中原故土进入蛮荒之地。这里是古丝绸之路的交通要道，千百年来一直矗立在静寂辽阔的戈壁，捍卫着华夏西端安宁。

In ancient times, out of Jiayuguan fort is the vast Gobi, bid farewell to the native land of the centeal plains, into the wilderness. This is the main traffic route of the ancient Silk Road. For thousands of years,it has been standing in the quiet and vast Gobi, defending the western end of China.

张掖 Zhangye
张掖古称甘州，历代中原王朝在西北地区的政治、经济、文化和外交活动中心。张骞、班超、法显、唐玄奘等都曾途径张掖前往西域；隋炀帝于609年在张掖曾召集西域27国君主使臣，召开了“万国博览会”。马可·波罗曾醉心于此，停留长达一年之久。

Zhangye was the political,economic,cultural and diplomatic center of central plains dynasties in Northwest china. Those ancient envoys like Zhangqian, Banchao, Faxian and monk Xuanzang all went to the western regions through Zhangye; In 609 AC, emperor Yang of the Sui dynasty convened envoys of 27 monarchs in the western regions in Zhangye to hold the "World Expo". Marco Polo used to stay here for a year.

茶卡盐湖 Chaka Salt Lake
茶卡盐湖，别称茶卡或达布逊淖尔，是位于青海省海西蒙古族藏族自治州乌兰县茶卡镇都天然结晶盐湖，是柴达木盆地四大盐湖之一。“茶卡”是藏语，意即盐池，也就是青海的盐；“达布逊淖尔”是蒙古语，也是盐湖之意。茶卡盐湖气候温凉，干旱少雨，属高原大陆性气候，年平均气温4°C，年平均降水量210.4毫米。湖面海拔3100米，长15.8千米，宽9.2千米，呈椭圆形，总面积105平方千米。

Chaka Salt Lake, also known as Chake or sabsunnur, is a natural

crystalline salt lake located in Chaka town, Wulan county, Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture,Qinghai province.

It is one of the four major salt lakes in Qaidam Basin, Chaka is Tibetan,which means salt pons. The climate of chaka lake is warm and cool, dry and rainless, which belongs to the plateau continental climate. The annual average temperature is 4 degree,and the annual average precipitation is 210.4 mm.The lake is 3100 meters above sea level,15.8 kilometers long and 9.2 kilometers wide, with a total area of 105 square kilometers.

青海湖Qinghai Lake
青海湖，藏语名为“措温布”（意为“青色的海“）。位于青藏高原东北部、青海省境内，中国最大的内陆湖。由祁连山脉的大通山、日月山与青海南山之间的断层陷落形成。青海湖是中国内陆最大咸水湖，是维西青藏高原东北部生态安全的重要水体。

Qinghai Lake is called cuowenbu (meaning blue sea) in Tibetan. Located in the northeast of Qinghai Tibet Plateau and Qinghai province. It is the largest inland lake in China. It is formed by the fault collapse between Datong mountain, Riyue mountain and Nanshan Mountain in Qinghai province. Qinghai Lake is the largest saline lake in inland China, and It is an important water body to maintain the ecological security in the northeast of Qinghai Tibet Plateau.

马蹄寺Mati Temple
马蹄寺由胜果寺、普光寺千佛洞、金塔寺、上中、下观音洞七处组成，共有70余处窟龛，始建于北凉。

Mati temple consist of Shengguo Temple, Puguang Temple Thousand Buddha Caves, Golden Pagoda Temple, Upper Middle Cave and Lower Guanyin Cave. There are more than 70 grottoes in total, which were built in Beiliang dynasty.

张掖平山湖大峡谷距离张掖市区约60公里，是迄今为止中国里城市最近的集自然奇观、峡谷探险、地质科考、民族风情、自驾越野等于一体的复合性旅游景区，是张掖地貌景观大观园中最美的景观之一！

塔尔寺 Ta'er Temple
塔尔寺，地处青海省省会西宁市湟中区城区，创建于明洪武十二年（1379年）。得名于大金瓦寺内为纪念黄教创始人宗喀巴而建的大银塔，藏语称为“衮本贤巴林”。意思是：十万狮子吼佛像的弥勒寺。

Ta'er temple locates in Xinging city, the capital of Qinghai province, was founded in sajinwa temple in memory of zongkaba, the founder of the Yellow Sect.

In tibetan, it is called "gunbenxianbalin" which means Maitreya Temple with 100,000 lions roaring buddha statues.
